MiQ and Highwood Emissions Management have published the first open-access, measurement-informed methane intensity index for the U.S. natural gas sector. The MiQ-Highwood Index builds on leading academic research to provide the most accurate estimate of methane emissions to date.
The MiQ-Highwood Index will allow governments, civil society, and certified gas operators to benchmark methane emissions performance more accurately. The index can be used to identify opportunities for emission reductions and help substantiate climate and ESG goals.
